The processing chain

After a thorough check of the supplied fats and oils they are rendered down. During this rendering process there is filtering of fats and oils on the one hand and fluids and deep-frying residue (such as tiny pieces of fries or breadcrumbs) on the other. This melting residue is transported to special biogas installations in order to be transformed into heat and electricity. On average used deep-frying fat/oil contains about 9 to 12% melting residue.

The purified fats and oils are checked once more and stored in tanks. These are then used for the production of, among others, biofuel.
